Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is an AAPC’s CPC certification, which is considered as a golden standard in medical coding and represents world-class expertise that is highly desired and well compensated by medical organizations.

CPC Exam New Guidelines (From January 2022)

According to AAPC Guidelines, passing the CPC exam requires you to correctly answer a minimum of 70 questions from the series below. The exam questions, however, will not be identified or sorted by the series to which they pertain. The CPC test will rely on a level of understanding that enables you to identify the series.

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

Coding specialists are skilled in classifying medical data from patient records, often in a hospital setting but also in a variety of other healthcare settings. The CCS credential demonstrates a practitioner's tested skills in data quality and accuracy as well as mastery of coding proficiency.
